Modifying UI Blocks of a Role's User Interface

You can change the UI block order in the user interface using the up and down buttons for moving items up and down in the list. The UI blocks will appear in the role's user interface in the order to which you arrange them.

It is not possible to modify the IDs and names of UI blocks in this view. For modifying UI block names, see Managing UI Blocks, Folders, and Tasks.

When you delete a UI block in this view, it is deleted only from the user role in question, not from the whole system.

When you select a UI block in the left-hand side list, the folders and tasks that are included in it are shown in bold in the navigation tree to the right of the UI block list.

You can do the following:

Modify the name of the tasks and folders shown in the navigation. Change the name in the name fields (for the different languages used in the system) in the right-hand side pane.

Change the icon of the folders and tasks shown in the navigation. Select a new icon from the Icon drop-down list.

Modify the task definitions in the parameter tree. For more information on adding and editing the parameter settings, see Managing UI Blocks, Folders, and Tasks. For descriptions of the parameters, refer to Clausion Financial Performance Management User Interface Task Parameters.

The modified tasks are shown in italic font in the navigation tree in the middle pane.

Note! Changes to user role user interfaces (made in User Role UI) apply only to that specific user role. They do not affect the definitions made in User Interface.

Note! If a task has been modified in User Role UI, subsequent changes made to that task in User Interface have no effect on the modified task in the role’s user interface.

You cannot change the order of the tasks within the UI blocks in this view. The task order can be changed in the User Interface view, but note that the same order will then be used for all roles. In other words, the UI block order can be role-specific, but not the order of tasks within a UI block.

To restore the original properties (name, icon and XML definitions) as they have been defined in User Interface, click invoice-review Restore Default Values. If you selected a folder, select whether you want to restore the definitions only for the selected folder or for the whole block.

Note! All changes to user role user interfaces (adding, modifying, deleting) apply only after restarting the Clausion FPM client.
