New Features and Other Improvements
What's New in Clausion v24.2 video
Feature ID: FD-17721
Want to find out what's new in Clausion v24.2 quarterly release? New upgrades include ESG Solution, Favourites in Web Client, Clausion Dynamic Reporting Data, and more. Take a deep look at this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK7S0OCtaHU
Dynamic Reporting (DR): New extra field formula DRExtraData
Feature ID: FD-15659
Dynamic Reporting tool has a new extra field formula called DRExtraData. The formula is for fetching data from both numeric and text extra fields. Values on numeric extra field are summed and values on text extra fields are displayed in a cell and separated with vertical bars. This formula takes into account several parameters including Datatype_code, Doc_Serie, Year, DIM values, and Account_No. Please note that amounts in numerical fields are retrieved without them being cumulated or converted. You can only retrieve values from a single extra field at a time. Additionally, for consolidation units, the data for the Input units is presented along with a separator.
Dynamic Reporting (DR): New currency parameters Unit and Group
Feature ID: FD-15483
You can now use unit and group as parameters with the DRData function in Clausion DR. You can use the parameters with metric accounts, for example, ESG accounts. When you specify unit for DRData, the function fetches data based on unit currency. When you specify group, the function returns group currency values. With ESG accounts, the function fetches unit and group amounts based on the selected parameter (unit or group). If any currency (e.g., EUR, USD, etc.) other than unit or group is specified in the currency field for ESG accounts, the function displays value 0. This is because currency or values on ESG accounts are other than monetary currency. In addition, if none of the defined conversion rules match the criteria above, value 0 is displayed for the group amount. Existing functionality behaves similarly: if the currency parameter is omitted or empty, the DRData function returns data in the group currency by default.
Custom parameter %CURRENT DATE% on template header
Feature ID: FD-14689
You can now set date and time in the header of an input or report template with the %CURRENT DATE% custom parameter. After you have defined the parameter and open the sheet, current date and time are displayed on the header. Every time you open the report, the parameter is updated and the date and time on that report opening moment is displayed. Date and time are also updated on the report when you modify and refresh the report. When you save the report as an Excel file with the Save to file option, the date and time are saved in the Excel file, however, they remain the same regardless of the date and time you open the Excel file the next time.
Clausion ESG Solution
Feature ID: FD-13097
Clausion’s new ESG solution allows the collection, aggregation and reporting of environmental, social and governance data presented in different measurement units related to, for example, emissions, personnel, pollution or energy consumption. All this is done efficiently using the consolidation functionalities of the software. In the Unit Management section under Basics, there is a new drop-down menu called Measurement System for ESG. The menu includes two different options: SI - International System of Units (Metric) and US Customary System for dimension 00. Use this setting when metric system conversion option is selected for an account and metric conversion rule is defined. The default value for all units is SI International System of Units (Metric) which applies to all reporting hierarchies in dimension 00. The setting can be changed yearly. In Account Management, there is a new conversion option under Currency Conversion called Metric System. Select this conversion option if you want to convert data from one measurement unit to another. With the selection, account types are automatically limited to scaling and cumulative. For the ESG solution, we have also added a Metric Conversion table under automatic entries to manage conversion rules when converting data from one measurement unit to another. The Metric Conversion table is a custom sheet that contains two tabs: Conversion Rule and Linked Accounts. On the Conversion Rule tab, you can manage the conversion rules. To add a conversion rule, click Insert and select Row from the drop-down menu. Select the Conversion Type from Unit-to-Unit (U-U) or US-to-SI (US-SI) conversion. When you select the Unit-to-Unit conversion, the data is always converted. For example, you could convert flight kilometers to equivalent CO2 emissions. When you select US-to-SI, data from a unit which uses the U.S. Customary System as the metric system for the Dimension 00 is converted. You can utilize this for example, if there is a U.S.-based subsidiary, whose flight miles need to be converted to flight kilometers. In addition to the Conversion Type, fill in also Item Type and Conversion Method which can be defined either as multiplication (asterisk) or division (forward slash). When you click Save after configuring all the fields, the system creates an ID for the Conversion Rule. The system also sets the Conversion Value to 1 by default if left undefined. When you want to delete a rule, simply add a letter X to the Deleting Rule column on that specific row and click Save. This deletes the rule. When you want to add an account to the Conversion Rule, go to the Linked Accounts tab, click Insert and select Row on the drop-down menu. First, add an account number to the Account column. Then go back to the Conversion Rule tab and copy the Item Type of the Conversion Rule. Paste the Item Type on the Item Type column on the Linked Accounts tab. Click Save to save changes. Please be mindful that if you add a rule to an account that includes an identical Item Type as another account, you receive a validation message and you must change the Item Type to a unique one.
