Location: User Roles (task ID: UserRoleMnt) > Unit Rights
Unit rights can be added and modified in Tree View, but can be removed also in List View. You can sort the list view by clicking the column headers.
Note! The unit-specific rights of a unit cannot be weaker than the inheritable rights of its parent. For example, the unit-specific rights of a unit cannot be 'Read' if the inheritable rights of its parent unit are 'Read and write'. The unit-specific rights can be stronger, however. For example, if the inheritable rights of a unit are 'Read', its sub-unit can have 'Read and write' rights. 1.Select the role to which you want to add unit rights and go to the Unit Rights tab. 2.Click Tree View. Unit rights can only be set in the tree view. 3.Select the Dimension, Hierarchy, and Year combination in which you want to add the unit rights. 4.In the unit tree, select the unit to which you want to give the user role rights for. By default, a new role will have no rights to any units. 5.From the Unit-specific rights drop-down list, select the rights that you want to give to the user role (alternative: click the unit with the right mouse button to open a pop-up menu): •If you select Inherited, the rights are inherited from the parent unit. •If you select Read, the user role has the rights to view the data entered to the unit. •If you select Read and write, the user role has the rights to view the data of and enter data to the unit. 6.From the Inheritable rights drop-down list, select what type of rights are given to the sub-units of the selected unit (alternative: click the unit with the right mouse button to open a pop-up menu): •If you select Not set, the sub-units of the unit do not inherit any rights from the unit. •If you select Read, the sub-units of the unit inherit the 'Read' rights from the unit. •If you select Read and write, the sub-units of the unit inherit the 'Read and write' rights from the unit. 7.To save the changes, click |
Note! Dimension 'Counter unit' is available for defining the unit rights only if value of parameter CODIM00RIGHTS is 'true'. The units of the dimension are the same as for the first available dimension, and the only available hierarchy is the first one. For information about setting the parameter value, see parameter CODIM00RIGHTS in Environment Parameters. 1.Click Tree View. Counter unit rights can only be set in the tree view. 2.From the Dimension drop-down list, select Counter unit. 3.From the Unit-specific rights drop-down list, select Read and write to have the unit to be shown in the counter unit selection list on the input sheets. |
